Instant Access

When somebody opens a file, is the computer going to delay while the file is downloaded? Systems which replicate files in advance can avoid such a delay.

Coherence

A system is coherent if it is able to maintain a single latest version of each file without confusion occurring if two people change the same file from different locations at the same time. If a system is not coherent, then data can end up lost. Systems which do not use replication are implicitly coherent.

Secure

Does the system use encryption by default?

Central Sync

If multiple people are using the system behind the same Internet connection, is a file that is being accessed downloaded just once or multiple times?

By virtue of needing only a single appliance at each office, Synctus will only download a file to an office once after it has been changed.
